I just wanted to check in and see how many auditions people are getting. I know it’s slow, less episodes & shows are being made, etc. But I was consistently audition at the beginning of this year, and I booked a small part in a Netflix series, then it suddenly dried up. It’s making me feel antsy and like my agent isn’t…

Basically the title. My main work is on camera. Recently, my agent has been sending me voice over or voice acting auditions as well. I had a blue yeti but snagged the Sennheiser profile usb mic as a budget upgrade. I’m also recording directly to my iPhone 16 through Dolby ON. My “sound booth” is one of those cabinets t…

I often hear actors say things like: “I often book the audition when I have no time and just throw it on tape.” “I was about to quit acting, an audition came in and I didn’t care about it all and I booked it.” “I always book the audition I thought I did terrible on and didn’t really understand the story, I never book t…

Hi - I have been wanting to add an entertainment lawyer to our team to help look over contracts and negotiate. How does one find a lawyer or reach out to them? Most of the actors I know don't really have lawyers yet. I see lists of them on imdbpro but will they respond if I reach out to them directly?

Hi, I just went live on Talent Link yesterday morning and received on email from an agent within the first two hours. However, since then, I haven’t heard anything. My resume and materials are almost non existent, but I’ve done my best to showcase my talent through my own videos, and I was wondering if it’s really just…

I received this text from my rep after I politely asked a question about how they're submitting me. How would you feel about this, because I'm reeling and it feels aggressive. To the point I don't want to speak to them. Thanks in advance: Yes, I think you should call me because I want to address your text because your…

This one’s a bit of a long one and I’ll keep it vague. I’ve lived in London for years now and have been acting for about 3 years. I have a great agent, a flexible job and am in classes. Now the industry is quite slow at the moment, so I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on life. I’m finally not in education so I don’t ne…

Venting 33y-o(f) here. Everyday I feel like my acting dream isn't going to go anywhere and it makes me feel more and more depressed. I only got acting management a month ago and have been taking classes for 5+ years. I see all these actors I love and even some of my classmates, booking roles left and right and I feel i…

I recently got cast as a voice actor for a minor character in a small project I was really interested in, my first ever role! But my character doesn't appear till *kind of* late into the project.. Hi all - I was working on a set today where the lead actor was puffing something into their eyes to make themselves cry, sort of like a tear stick, but it looked like a small mister or blower of air.
