Hi y'all, not sure if this is the best place to go for this, but my team is working on the pilot episode for an animated series, and are in need of 2 voice actresses to play as 18 year old high school students. The characters' ethnicities are BURMESE (Myanmar) and ARMENIAN, so we would like to have the actress' racial…

Super new voice actor here! Just set up my home studio (my closet) and am looking for feedback on the sound quality. I’m mostly looking to start with corporate VO, automated messaging, and hopefully commercial auditions down the road. My goal is to move to LA soon and I am currently working with an LA coach weekly via Skype and have been for the past 6 months. I just started taking acting seriously at the beginning of 2020, although I've done plays and community theater since I was very young. So far since starting this year I have been in three col…

Hi Folks! I'm on H1B (work visa) here in US. Does anybody know if I can still pursue acting then if it's a paid role? I already do non-paid community theater. I haven't even reached out to any acting agency yet cus I don't know if it's something they will even consider or not. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! I’m a relatively new and young actor into the industry. Given the current circumstances I think finding an agent post drama school will be more difficult than normal; and idk if casting directors will be interested. However does anyone have advice on getting that first screen credit that we all dream of? Thank you…

I'm trying to find someone to play the line of a husband in a VO performance for a page of dialogue. The issue is that most VO actors only know one speed or overemphasize everything. Does anyone have any experience with this? Would love to talk to someone that wants low budget SAG rate and IMDB credit for literally onl…

I still have some stimulus money that I want to put into VO. It is $500, but I could maybe spend $1000. I have only been at it for about 2 weeks but I want to use the next couple of months to take a real shot at making this work as a full time gig. (tl;dr version at bottom of post.) Hey Everyone! I recently read the conditions on how to apply for an O1 visa grant and it seems impossible – just the sheer amount of media, awards, and credits you have to have under your belt makes it seem so out of reach for any actors who are not "famous". But at the same time, I read on the news of non-US actors th…

I've been doing a lot of research into various principles and techniques to enhance memory and learning. I've found a lot of things I think aren't very widely known among actors. I'm wondering if there's some folks who could use some help. So what's your #1 challenge related to memorizing lines?
