I know that Los Angeles is flooded with Acting Studios, but I’m looking for the ones where a lot of working actors tend to frequent. People who do costars or guest stars, ultimately for Actors, who would be considered intermediate to advanced. I’ve heard of Margie Heber and I’ve heard of BGB… But what are the top schoo…

I usually just lurk here, but wanted to let everyone know about a scam that I almost got roped into that I haven’t seen previously mentioned. Maybe someone else has encountered this, but just in case… Yesterday, I received a text from someone claiming to be an old classmate of mine. They mentioned a project we were in…

I want to be clear that this sub has been very helpful for a bunch of different reasons and I think overall it is a net positive to have a community like this. But lately, I've been seeing a lot of posts with a tone similar to that of "the industry has changed so much that no more regular working actors can live anymor…

I have never used it but am helping a friend of mine who is a fresh actor, to submit their video. I was trying to find “How To” videos on the Tube. Hi everyone, we finally finished our fantasy audio drama pilot, *Tales of Skyland: Legend of the Soulwards*. so one of my favorite actors that I want to work with follows me on IG, which is so cool a lot of people think I should play a family relative of hers on the show I do see the vision and it’s literally my dream even if it’s a little hard to dream of it since I am currently unrepresented but it’s a nice dream to have??…

I'm transitioning from voiceover classes to actually owning and operating a microphone and I've found myself flustered by how much there is to learn. There's a lot of the audio engineering world that is foreign to me. Like, I still don't really even understand what an EQ is, or how busses work. And when I begin to lear…

I miss acting! The creativity on it, improvisation, stage school, reading scripts, reading plays - all of it. But I don’t miss the seriousness - auditions, booking profesional jobs (once in a blue moon!), theatre teachers who crush everyone’s spirit for the ‘sake of art’ and having to constantly be involved in order to…

So I wondered about this… Do ya'll include a headshot thumbnail at the top of your actor resume with your contract info, or no? Or is it a matter of preference? Asking because I’ve been in the business for more than 20 years, and the rules indeed change. Some say, yes -- but only for more independent castings like o…

I think Jon Bernthal is an amazing actor. I know a lot of people say he gets typecast because he often plays the same kind of tough, damaged, intense characters. But honestly, I think people confuse a character archetype with an actor’s ability. I just watched *Punisher: The Last Kill*, and throughout the entire movie…

When you’re thinking about joining an acting class what things are you looking for?
