Not a voice actor nor am I aspiring to be, but figured you'd be knowledgable.

How can I fix what's wrong with my voice? It's mumbly, unclear, lispy, and a bit deep for a girl. I know there are probably exercises I can do, but I wouldn't know where to start. [Here is a link to a 7-minute video I made as an example of what my voice sounds like.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RkmEjevFHQ) I used…

Agency Advice

Hi there. I'm a non-union mid-20s actress. I was just offered to sign with Aqua Talent commercially. I was also offered Angel City commercially, and across-the-board as soon as I get SAG-E. Since Aqua is a top 10 commercial agency, I'm torn. Any advice?

Help needed for the toughest gig I've had in 20 years

Hola All, So I've been asked to be the main (and only) actress in a very big deal art/performance exhibition in Asia. It's featuring work from the world's best artists and performers (NO PRESSURE!!!) While I've worked for this artist before, it was mostly on abstract film projects, but this is going to be a live perfor…

Do you think Mark Wahlberg is a bad actor?

As much as I love his movies, I think his acting skills are average at best. Isn't it funny when you like the characters an actor portrays, but doesn't find his acting skills as good as his roles/movies?

Should I list "acting" in my survival job resume?

I feel embarrassed for asking this, but should I be listing "acting" in my survival job resume? On one hand, I'm guessing it should be good to let future employers know that I'm pursuing acting. Up to this point I've been holding down one part-time job, so I suppose it'd be good to let them know I haven't been lazy and…

Any other theatre actors desperately missing the stage?

I just watched a video on YouTube of great musical moments and while I'm not a fanatic with musicals, it just hit me that I miss those moments of being onstage: the electricity, the energy, the connection, presenting your hard work to an audience, etc. With Covid, it doesn't seem like we're going to get theatre back an…

I am a part-time actor with a day job/career. Actor Quarantine Weight Gain? (nyc)

I stepped on the scale and it wasn’t good. The presidential elections plus depression-anxiety multiplied by sweatpants minus open gyms added a few. More than a few. My manager says I’m not the only actor fretting. I’m not interested in watching every calorie like Tracy Gold in the 80’s. So far I’ve lost 5 lbs this mont…

I’m curious to hear any thoughts about this trend of POVs (you edit a video to pretend you’re having a conversation with a character from a film or TV show, such as Draco Malfoy, and create your own dialogue and plot line). Anyone have a hard time acting at home with parents around?

I am a beginner actor and feel self-conscious acting in front of my parents. This is what I want to do with my life so I don’t want to give off the impression to them that I’m wasting my time if they don’t think I’m good enough. It’s also hard getting into character in front of people I know, family especially, who are…
