Some designs show something while the page gets ready: a spinner, a bar, a name fading in. Until now that was fixed by the design. You got whatever loading screen it came with, or none.
Loading screens are now a choice you make, on any design, from a list of 24.
Where to find it
Open Website, then Adjustments, and look for Loading screen at the end of the first card. It opens a chooser with a preview window and Previous, Next and Replay buttons, so you can step through them and watch each one play as many times as you like. Nothing is saved until you press Save.
What is on the list
A few of them are built around you rather than around a shape:
- Your name, set large while the page loads
- Your name, boxed, the same inside a thin frame
- Name, letter by letter, your name typed out one letter at a time
- Initial and ring, your first initial inside a turning ring
The rest are classic motion: Bouncing dots, Pulse, Counter, Progress bar, Curtain, Split panels, Equalizer, Orbit, Ripple and more. Every one uses your brand color on a dark cover, so it matches the site that follows it instead of the design it was first drawn for.
None is a good answer too
The first option is no loading screen at all, and for many sites that is the right call. Your pages already load quickly, and a visitor who clicked your link from an email wants to see you, not an animation. Where a loading screen earns its place is on a design with a big opening photo or video, where it covers the moment before that image arrives.
A loading screen also clears itself. If something on the page is slow to finish, the cover does not sit there forever waiting for it. Your visitor always gets to the site.
Pairs well with
If you pick one of the name screens, it is worth also looking at your font choices, since your name is set in them. The animated backgrounds work the same way: one shared list, available on every design, drawn in your color.
If you are still choosing a design, browse the catalog first. The loading screen is a finishing touch, and it is easy to change later.
