What services does Web for Artists provide?
Simply put: our goal is to create interesting and easily navigated sites that display your artistic portfolio regardless of medium. We can design the simplest sites to sites with all of the bells and whistles that are on the web; if there is something you’d like, all you need to do is ask…

What about hosting and domain registration?
Web for Artists is not a hosting company, but we do work with a host that is affordable and reliable. We will set up a site with our hosting company for you; you will be billed directly from them for yearly service and registration. If you already have a registered domain name, then we reconfigure the DSN to point to our preferred hosting service. If you already have a registered domain name and hosting service, we will be happy to work with your hosting company if that is your preference. (Yearly hosting and registration billed to you directly through a separate hosting network: $65-75 annually)

What are the first steps in starting the process?
First, we will have a meeting over the phone to discuss what your goals are for the site, and what you think you would like to see on your site. After the initial meeting, you will send us slides or prints of your work. For two reasons: first so that we can begin scanning your work and creating digital files to put on your site. Secondly, and more importantly, so that we can get a feel for what you do, so that we can begin to rough out a site design for you with your goals and work in mind.

After your work has been scanned and digitally formatted, and we have sketched out a site for you, we will contact you and you can preview your site online. After fine-tuning your site, we will go live.
