Web for Artists.com was started by an artist.

Christopher Buoscio received his MFA from Ohio University in 1991. After years of sending hundreds of slides to galleries, clients and schools, he decided that it would be cheaper in the long run to post his images on the web.The success of this site as a direct marketing tool led him to create web sites for other artists.

The aim of Web for Artists.com is to be another tool for artists to get their work seen in an environment that is tailored to their vision.
